Luke Brasher is IN! This redshirt senior from Pell City dominates on the football field and in the classroom. Luke saw action as a linebacker in all 14 games of UAB Football’s 2019 season. This Blazer athletics standout just graduated with a degree in kinesiology and is moving on to physical therapy school. Doug and Renita Rigney are IN! Since meeting at UAB, this couple has spent their long careers serving the students and community of Birmingham. Doug has four degrees from the UAB School of Engineering from his B.S.E. in 1980 to his Ph.D. in 1989. Renita earned her B.S.N. from the School of Nursing in 1980. Doug and Renita have each served a term as National Alumni Society president, making them a real first family of the green and gold. As alumni, they now receive automatic, free membership in the NAS, just like every student after graduation. Sign-ups and dues are out—From Here On IN.

Dr. Rodney Tucker is IN! Dr. Tucker is a widely published expert in the field of palliative care who has called UAB home for decades. He’s also an active alum, having served as National Alumni Society president in 1994. After studying law and practicing as a partner with Burr & Forman, LLP, Nancy now serves as associate general counsel for Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC.
