Melissa Yes is IN! Melissa is an outstanding artist with an eye for excellence in multiple media. This 2006 and 2012 grad uses her incredible talents to blend art and science to create objects, installations, video art, and performance pieces that truly inspire. Now, her membership in the National Alumni Society is free and automatic, just like all who receive a degree from UAB—From Here On IN.
Brandon Gilliland is IN! He earned a B.A. in Political Science in 2006 and is now an AP U.S. government and history teacher and ACT consultant.
Krista Niedermeier is IN! Krista is a three-time graduate from UAB who earned her BSN in 1998, her MNA in 2006, and her DNP in 2013. This caring and gifted alum is now a certified registered nurse anesthetist for Children’s Hospital.
Nikkesha Kendrick is IN! In 2006 she earned her bachelor’s degree in finance, and in 2015 she earned another bachelor’s degree in accounting. This double UAB graduate is currently pursuing her third degree from UAB and hopes to graduate next year with her MBA.
Beth Williams is IN! Her hard work earned her a master’s degree from the UAB School of Education in 2006. Beth is now the department chair of natural sciences at Wallace State Community College.
Angela Bennett is IN! She got her B.S. from UAB’s College of Arts and Sciences in 2004, and her MAEd in Secondary Science Education in 2006 from the UAB School of Education.
Susan Diane Mitchell is IN! Susan graduated from UAB in 2006 with an MA in English and American Literature.
