Carmen Mitchell is IN! She received her B.S. in health sciences in 2009 and her M.S. in healthcare quality and safety in 2019 from UAB. Currently, Carmen is the assistant director of research for the College of Nursing at USF in sunny Tampa, Florida.
Junias Jackson is IN! This Army Captain earned his B.A. in history, with a double minor in military science and Spanish, from UAB in 2009. He then graduated again with an MBA from UAB in 2019. Junias is now an Army Commissioned Officer, working in force development.
Adam Grinfield is IN! This double graduate earned his bachelor’s degree in social work and then his Master of Social Work in mental health from UAB. Adam is now a case management social worker at UAB.
Princess Johnson-Higgins is IN! She earned her bachelor’s degree in public health with a concentration in global health and a minor in community health and human services in 2019. Since graduating from UAB, she has secured a job in her chosen field and plans to continue her education to earn a graduate degree.
Alexis Hegenbarth is IN! She earned both her undergrad and graduate degrees from UAB. Alexis now uses her Master of Public Health in public health research in the Nashville, Tennessee, area.
Denise Godin is IN! She worked hard for her bachelor’s degree in human resource management and graduated in 2019 from the UAB Collat School of Business. Denise is now the director of human resources at Custom Engineered Wheels in Mississippi.
Molly Clay is IN! Molly graduated with her Bachelor of Science in psychology in 2019 from UAB. Now, she is working toward earning her master’s degree in counselor education, school counseling and guidance services at UAB while working as a student outreach assistant at UAB Disability Support Services and a guest services specialist at Children’s Harbor.
Bryan Combs is IN! Bryan is a three-time graduate of the UAB School of Nursing! He earned his MSN as a clinical nurse leader in 2010, MSN as a family nurse practitioner in 2012, and his Ph.D. in 2019. Dr. Combs has been a faculty member at the UAB School of Nursing since 2013 and is currently the director of the nurse practitioner pathways.
Curtis Franklin is IN! Curtis is a School of Engineering Graduate since 2019, with a MEng. He has worked in telecom project engineering with AT&T, Momentum Telecom, and other telecommunication providers.
Deborah Givens is IN! Deborah graduated in 2002 with a B.S. in Elementary Education, and again in 2019 with an MEd in Reading Specialist Education.
Ashley Banks is IN! Ashley got a B.A. in Science of Neuroscience from the UAB College of Arts and Sciences in 2019. She is currently is a published children’s book author and professionally researches cancer in the Atlanta, GA area.
Dennis Pillion is IN! Dennis was UAB faculty member from 1979 to 2019.
