I am originally from Alexandria, Egypt. I graduated from Alexandria Medical School in 2010. Right after graduation, I started my masters in clinical oncology and nuclear medicine along with residency in clinical oncology, graduating in 2015. Following the passion for cancer research, I joined UAB in 2016 and worked in the area of brain tumors and metastasis. I joined Dr. Samant’s lab in 2018, and since then my research focus on signaling in breast cancer metastasis, mammary development, and ribosome biogenesis.
Facts about me: in addition to fun outdoors activities with family and friends, I love restoration projects, cooking, and planting.
