The 2024 O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Annual Retreat
In October, members of the lab attended the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Retreat that was held at Regions Field. The retreat included incredible talks by students, faculty, and keynote speakers. Students in the lab were able to present posters showcasing the incredible work they have completed as part of their training. Amr, shown holding his award on the right, was given the award for Best Research in Women’s Cancer!
SIS 2024
Li’an, Dr. Lalita, Courtney, and Ian attended the 2024 Southeastern Immunology Symposium where they were able to hear from some of the best immunologists in the country! Courtney and Ian presented posters on their work and got plenty of foot traffic which generated some excellent conversations.
CORD Judging
The Center for Community Outreach Development (CORD) holds an annual poster competition for different high school and undergraduate programs. Some of our graduate students (Li’an, grey shirt; Courtney, red shirt; and Ian, green shirt) were judges for this competition. Here they are pictured with their fellow MSTP classmates!
Mardis Gras 2024
