Researcher

Annie Popple graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and an Accelerated Master’s in Multidisciplinary Biomedical Sciences. She joined the Shevde-Samant Lab in 2023 and her current focus in the lab involves elucidating the role of O-GlcNAcylation in Hedgehog signaling and its impact on the DNA damage response. In her free time she enjoys playing flute in community groups and learning guitar in addition to gaming, baking, and finding new things to do in the Birmingham area.
