MD-PhD/MSTP Graduate Trainee (GS-1), Cancer Biology Theme
Ian Miranda hails from New York! He is a GS-1 in the UAB MSTP. He graduated from Macaulay Honors at Brooklyn College in 2018 with a double major in Biology and religious studies. He then went on to complete a Master of Science degree at Stony Brook University before working at Pfizer in the Bacterial Vaccines department. He has a background in biochemistry and cell biology but has set his sights on cancer biology. Outside of the lab, he enjoys golf, volleyball, cooking, and spending time with friends.
