Dennis Doss is IN! In 2014, Dennis earned his CRNP degree from the UAB School of Nursing. This U.S. Navy veteran now works as a nurse practitioner at Comfort Care Hospice, helping treat and care for the people of Alabama.
Jon Curren is IN! In 1988, Jon earned his bachelor’s degree from the UAB School Nursing. Now, Jon is a registered nurse and has been working to help people for 32 years.
Teaniace Holloway is IN! She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993 from the UAB School of Nursing. Now, Teaniace lives and works in the Birmingham area.
Bryan Combs is IN! Bryan is a three-time graduate of the UAB School of Nursing! He earned his MSN as a clinical nurse leader in 2010, MSN as a family nurse practitioner in 2012, and his Ph.D. in 2019. Dr. Combs has been a faculty member at the UAB School of Nursing since 2013 and is currently the director of the nurse practitioner pathways.
Eileen Meyer is IN! She earned both her MSN and DNP from the UAB School of Nursing in 1997 and 2017. Eileen is now the assistant director of advanced practice providers and nurse practitioners at UAB Medicine and a clinical assistant professor of nursing at UAB.
R. Kyle Hodgen is IN! In 1996, Kyle earned his BSN from the School of Nursing and his DNP in 2013. He has now worked to become a U.S. Air Force surgeon general nurse anesthesia consultant and an assistant professor for the Nurse Anesthesia Program at USU Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing.
Tonya Cole is IN! This UAB graduate received her BSN degree from the UAB School of Nursing in 2016. For the last 22 years, Tonya has been taking care of and helping heal people in Alabama.
Nancy Moody is IN! This first-generation college student earned her third degree, a DNS/Ph.D. from the UAB School of Nursing in 1991. She worked for 30 years in higher education as faculty, department chair, and dean.
Dawn Ousley is IN! She graduated from the BSN Program in 1982. She is currently completing a MSHA Degree while working in surgery for UAB Medicine Perioperative Services.
Judson Colburn is IN! Judson graduated in 2010 from the School of Nursing and is the Director of Nursing for Pediatrics at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage Alaska.
Sidney R. Lankford, Jr. received his R.N. to B.S.N. from UAB in 2008 and received his M.S.N.-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from UAB in 2011. He currently works as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. He has 3 children: Xavier, William, and Morgan and a “fur son” named Roman. He currently reside in Pelham, AL.
Tanja Gavrilovic is IN! In 2019, she earned a MSN in UAB’s Family Nurse Practitioner specialty track program. In 2022, she earned her DNP and completed UAB’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Forensic Nurse subspecialty programs.
