In case, you were wondering… the lab’s name ANRY is not an abbreviation. I could invent something like “Arie Nakhmani’s Research Yearning,” but this would be far from the truth. When I was 13 years old, my dad bought me Science and Hypothesis book by French mathematician, physicist, and philosopher Henri Poincare. I was amazed by the depth of his thought so much that I decided to use his first name as my nickname. At that time I didn’t know French or English and I read a Russian translation in which his name was written as Анри, which I incorrectly transliterated into Latin as Anry. So, the name Anry is the result of my mistake. Some of my scientific publications (that I’m proud of) were the result of misunderstanding articles that I unintentionally implemented better than the original authors intended. The moral is – don’t be afraid to make mistakes, because as Albert Einstein said: “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
