Under the mentorship of Dr. Liz Worthey, this team (comprised of CGDS and other UAB researchers) secured 3rd place at the UAB COVID-19 Hackathon in 2020. Their project later gained recognition and was published in Frontiers in Big Data. You can read the article here.
The team is now preparing for their next challenge, the “AI Against Cancer” Hackathon, scheduled for August 2021.
