UAB’s Collat School of Business offers an engaging learning environment with classrooms extending well beyond the walls of the UAB campus. Its unique location allows faculty to integrate the practical experiences of the State’s leading companies—from Fortune 500 corporations to entrepreneurial startups—into the programs offered. New construction for the School’s current home was completed in 2018 and created singular spaces like the Trading Lab, a 40-seat advanced teaching environment designed to provide finance and real estate finance students with hands-on experience performing business transactions and valuable business scenarios that reflect the marketplace. The Lab also houses the Green and Gold Fund, an award-winning, student-managed investment portfolio. New classroom and office space along with in-house institutions like the Bill L. Harbert Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Regions Institute For Financial Education make the Collat School of Business an elite institution training a new generation of business leaders.
