Campus-Community Speed Matching Event

UAB-Statewide AmeriCorps VISTA program staff and local host sites participated in the Campus-Community Speed Matching event on November 2nd, at the Office of Service Learning and Undergraduate Research. 9/11 Day of Service

It’s been more than 20 years since 9/11. We continue to honor the sacrifices made that day by remembering the heroes, armed forces, first responders, and countless others’ acts of service to defend our nation’s freedom.

Each year, AmeriCorps helps commemorate 9/11 Day.  On this day, we salute those who served the country and help people find ways to engage in acts of service with compassion and honor and work side by side to build more equitable and just communities.

The 9/11 Day of Service is Sunday, September 11. You and your partners are encouraged to engage in service on this day and the days surrounding.
