Ren Laboratory of Molecular and Vascular Pathobiology at UAB School of Medicine welcomes undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, medical students, visiting scholars, and medical residents and fellows to join and pursue the intriguing and impactful biomedical research.

Unique and innovative transgenic animal models have been established for significant biomedical research. If you are enthusiastic about basic and translational biomedical studies on cardiovascular diseases, cancers, cardiovascular complications of diabetes or neurovascular impact on cognitive capacity and Alzheimer’s disease by using innovative approaches, and interested in becoming a PhD or MD/PhD student and learning more about available opportunities, please contact the Ren Lab via Gloria Yuan at ryuan@uabmc.edu.

UAB School of Medicine is among the top medical schools in the United States. Individuals seeking a postdoc position should contact the REN lab directly (bren98@uab.edu) and attach a short description of previous experience and future research plan (including what you hope to learn in the REN lab), a CV, and the contact information for three references. Preference will be given to candidates who are motivated to obtain outside research support and hope to become an independent investigator after completing the training. Ideal postdoctoral candidates should have a strong publication record, demonstrate a dedication to research, and be highly motivated to learn new approaches and contribute to lab dynamics.
