My name is Sam, and I was born in Georgia but raised in Alabama. I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry. During my undergrad I partook in undergraduate research where I performed acute and chronic toxicity assays on C. elegans to test the adverse effects of e-liquid. My research interest deal with pain and pain sensation and specifically using unconventional sources to treat pain, such as novel proteins found in snake venom.
