MWCCS Pilot Research Initiatives

The UAB-UMMC MWCCS is soliciting application for pilot and feasibility projects to support new research initiatives that will utilize MWCCS study resources (i.e. data, specimens, questionnaires, etc.). Our goal is to foster career development within the goals of the MWCCS Scientific Agenda. This pilot is designed to provide support for two (2) one-year awards (up to $30,000/year direct cost) that can lead to external funding. Proposal evaluations will be based upon significance, innovation, feasibility of the proposed scope of work in the allotted time, potential to securing extramural funding and the impact of the project on the broad area of HIV- and HIV-related research.
