On this International World AIDS Day 2023 Eve, the 2024 RFA for MWCCS developmental pilot funding announcement has been released. This MWCCS Pilot Research initiative seeks to support new research initiatives that will utilize MWCCS study resources (i.e. data, specimens, questionnaires, etc.). This pilot is designed to provide support for two (2) one-year awards (up to $30,000/year direct cost). Proposal evaluations will be based on significance, innovation, feasibility of the proposed scope of work in the allotted time, the potential to secure extramural funding, and the impact of the project on the broad area of HIV- and HIV-related research. Early career investigators as well as established investigators who might be new to HIV research are encouraged to apply.
