Dr. Chen Lin, a native of Atlanta, GA, graduated from University of Georgia with a B.S. in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Religion. In between undergraduate and medical school, he received a scholarship to work with Rotary International in Venezuela. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his general intern year and his Neurology Residency at Duke University in Durham, NC where he served as Chief Resident. During his neurology residency, he worked with AMPATH in Eldoret, Kenya. He completed a NIH StrokeNet Research Fellowship and a Vascular Neurology Fellowship in Stroke and Stroke Rehabilitation at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He currently serves as the director of the stroke recovery clinic at UAB, an innovative method in delivering stroke follow-up care, and the Principal Investigator of the UAB Stroke Registry. In addition, he works with Veterans at the Birmingham VA in stroke and stroke recovery.
