ARC Stories Here, in our little corner of the country, they always come. The South has always marked time by its stories. They carry our history. Our fathers and grandfathers. Wars. Hunting trips. Good dogs. Great loves. Brass badges and bank robbers. Our everyday lives. Arc Stories is the celebration of that great tradition. It is the chance for our stories to move off the front porch, or from around the campfire, or out of the coffee house, and be put on stage in front of friends and strangers alike. True, Personal Stories – Told In Person

UAB Booktalk Whether you are a UAB student, faculty member, or a member of the Birmingham community unaffiliated with UAB who just loves books, please join us at our monthly meetings for informal, insightful, and interesting discussions about books you probably won’t get a chance to read and discuss in classes or other book groups. Books are selected by English faculty members who also lead the discussions.

UAB Writers’ Series The UAB Writers’ Series is an annual offering of the Creative Writing program. Nationally recognized authors are invited to UAB to give readings and participate in Q-and-A sessions. Readings are free and open to the public. Authors and event details are released before the start of the Fall semester.
