Dr. Russell’s research focus involves clinical and translational research into trauma induced coagulopathy. Specifically, the lab focuses on murine models of trauma-hemorrhage-resuscitation and traumatic brain injury. In addition, there is a particular focus on the role of von Willebrand factor and ADAMTS-13 in the post-traumatic milieu of coagulopathy.
