Interested in joining a Working Group for the Research Strategic Initiative: Growth with Purpose?

The final report from UAB’s engagement with Huron Consulting and Urban Impact Advisors recommended forming six Working Groups to enable the goals of the Research Strategic Initiative: Growth with Purpose:

  1. Optimize Research-Related Processes
  2. Research Technology
  3. Enhance Research Data Management & Structure
  4. Employment Destination
  5. Augment and Elevate the Research Administration Workforce
  6. Optimize & Enhance Facilities

Before you apply: Faculty and staff members are encouraged to read the Working Groups charges and examine the final report before submitting an application through this online form.

What’s next and time commitment: Completed forms will be routed to the employee’s supervisor/department chair for approval, then to deans. Those selected will be added to a nomination list for consideration. The time commitment depends on the work plans that each Working Group develops; progress and membership will be reviewed annually.
