Micro- and nanoplastic pollution in the environment is increasing at an alarming rate. The human exposure has been confirmed in multiple studies. However, the health effects of the plastic pollution remains largely unknown. Our laboratory utilizes radiochemical methods to study the bioaccumulation of micro- and nanoplastics in mammalian systems.
