HC 126This course is designed to introduce you to disability health and well-being from a public health perspective. We will discuss major evidence-based approaches, innovative service delivery models, and research-practice partnerships to improve dissemination and implementation. You will participate in experiential learning opportunities with the National Center on Health, Physical Activity, and Disability (NCHPAD) and the Center for the Engagement in Disability Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (CEDHARS), and have additional opportunities in the community with programs, clinics, and/or agencies that address disabilities and mental health needs in some capacity.

Students acquire skills and hands-on experience related to thinking critically about evidence ­based approaches, innovative service delivery models, and research-practice partnerships to improve dissemination and implementation.
