Respirator Fit Testing Workshop

Course Overview: 

This workshop is devoted to giving you hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative fit testing procedures. We will go through exercises and protocols to provide you with the tools to be a competent fit tester.

Who Should Attend:

The course is designed for anyone with fit testing responsibilities – safety professionals, healthcare providers, industrial hygienists, and occupational health nurses would benefit from attending this workshop.

Cost: $150.00

 

Professional Points:

  • The Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety is an approved provider of the AL Board of Nursing, (ABNP0420, expires 12/16/2026) and has awarded: Respirator Fit Testing Workshop 7.2 contact hours.
  • For all others, the Deep South Center for OH&S provides CEU’s for the Respiratory Fit Test Training .6 contact hours.

Program Information:

    • Registration begins at 8:00 am with the workshop beginning at 8:30 am and wrapping up at 3:00 pm.
    • Training Location: UAB Ryals Public Health Building, Room 620.  Parking at UAB will provided at the adjacent parking deck.
    • Parking: Parking instructions for the UAB deck will be included in the confirmation letter you will receive after paid registration).
    • Hotel: Several hotel options are available near the UAB Ryals Public Health Building (1665 University Boulevard, Birmingham, AL 35233) to accommodate out-of-town course participants. To find the most suitable accommodations for your needs, we recommend performing a quick Google search using the address as a reference point. This will help you identify hotels within convenient proximity to the venue.
