The Center’s Outreach Program strives to share information on occupational health and safety issues to other institutions, business owners, workers, minorities, youth and anyone with an interest in safety and health.
The Deep South Center for OH&S will be offering the Environmental & Occupational Safety & Health Institute, this innovative program is open to undergraduate students in engineering, the sciences, nursing and health sciences programs.
Deep South Center for OH&S is a continuing supporter of FIESTA, a celebration of the Hispanic culture in our state through art, music, food, and dance. The Deep South ERC uses this opportunity to promote safety and health, by providing OSHA-related safety hand-outs and resources. We also use this opportunity to promote the Central AL Construction Safety & Health Conference, this program offers a Spanish-speaking track for Hispanic workers.
