| Chengcui Zhang received her Ph.D. from the School of Computer Sciences at Florida International University, Miami, Florida in May 2004. She also received her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the College of Computer Science in ZheJiang University, HangZhou, P. R. China, in March 1999 and July 1996, respectively. She works in the broad area of knowledge learning from images/videos/audios and multimodal data fusion, multimedia security and forensics, geoinformatics (aerial and Lidar image analysis), and applied biomedical informatics, with a wide spectrum of applications in biomedical image/video/language machine learning, intelligent video surveillance, image spam and paper-ballot fraud detection, check fraud detection, and multi-modal fusion leveraging foundational large models. She is a former Chair of IEEE Technical Community of Multimedia Computing and IEEE Technical Community of Semantic Computing (TCSEM). She served as a conference General/Program chair for many IEEE conferences. She is the current Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Multimedia Data Engineering and Management, a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, and an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing. She was promoted to a SIRI Fellow (Society of Information Reuse and Integration) in 2020. |
