Alabama-to-Zambia Clinical Trials Unit
The Alabama to Zambia Clinical Trials Unit (A-toZ CTU) is committed to addressing the HIV epidemic in the Southeastern US, where HIV incidence remains the highest domestically, and in Sub-Saharan Africa where the global burden of HIV is highest. We have an integrated leadership group from the Alabama Clinical Research Site (CRS) and CIDRZ CRS, whose members are committed to advancing science to improve the quality and longevity of lives of those living with HIV, ending the HIV epidemic, and eliminating disparities for people living with HIV (PLWH).
Our research teams in Alabama and Zambia are committed to contributing to the advances in many of the areas of focus for the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG), HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN), and HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN).
