We are dedicated…

To working with our local community to end disease through advocacy, education, and research.

Welcome to the

Alabama Vaccine Research Clinic

at UAB

The faculty and staff at the Alabama Vaccine Research Clinic are committed to the development of vaccines to prevent infectious diseases of local and global importance.

Since the creation of the clinic in 1994, we have worked with the local community to raise awareness and develop and improve vaccines against a number of human diseases including HIV, hepatitis, influenza, anthrax, smallpox, and chicken pox. Our research efforts are focused on the pursuit of safe and effective vaccines that will lead to the eradication of these and other devastating illnesses.
