Region 4 Stroke System Symposium

Region 4 Stroke System Symposium was organized by West Alabama Region Four, UAB Comprehensive Neurovascular Center & Stroke Center, and Alabama Department of Public Health on July 18, 2024. 35 Stroke/ED coordinators, 15 Physicians/ Nurse Practitioners and 32 EMS providers from West Alabama Region Four were attended in the symposium.

Region 2 Stroke System Symposium

Region 2 Stroke System Symposium was organized by East Alabama EMS, Inc. (EAEMS), UAB Comprehensive Neurovascular Center & Stroke Center, and Alabama Department of Public Health on April 24, 2024. 25 Stroke/ED coordinators, 10 Physicians/ Nurse Practitioners and 60 EMS providers from EAEMS Region were attended in the symposium.

Region 6 Stroke System Symposium

Region 6 Stroke System Symposium was organized by Alabama Gulf EMS System (AGEMSS), UAB Comprehensive Neurovascular Center & Stroke Center, and Alabama Department of Public Health on January 12, 2024. 24 Stroke/ED coordinators, 9 Physicians and 11 EMS providers from AGEMSS Region were attended in the symposium.

Region 3 Stroke Symposium

Region 3 Stroke System Symposium was organized by Birmingham Regional Emergency Medical Services System, UAB Comprehensive Neurovascular Center & Stroke Center, and Alabama Department of Public Health on April 14, 2023. Separate sessions for physicians, stroke coordinators, and EMS providers were conducted.

The educational program provided up-to-date and practical information on Pre-hospital Stroke Care, Severity Based Stroke Triage, Telestroke System in the state of Alabama, Tenecteplase, Thrombectomy. The session for the stroke coordinator will help them to prepare for the SCRN course. During the symposium, upcoming changes in the stroke system of care in the state of Alabama was also discussed. 12 Stroke coordinators, 6 Physicians and 14 EMS providers from BREMSS Region were attended in the symposium.

Region 5 Stroke System Symposium

Region 5 Stroke System Symposium was organized by Southeast Alabama EMS Council Inc. (SEAEMS), UAB Comprehensive Neurovascular Center & Stroke Center, and Alabama Department of Public Health on July 20, 2023. 15 Stroke/ED coordinators, 5 Physicians and 24 EMS providers from SEAEMS Region were attended in the symposium.

Region 1 Stroke System Symposium

Region 1 Stroke System Symposium was organized by Alabama EMS Region One (AERO), UAB Comprehensive Neurovascular Center & Stroke Center, and Alabama Department of Public Health on October 12, 2023. 24 Stroke/ED coordinators, 16 Physicians/ Nurse Practitioners and 13 EMS providers from AERO Region were attended in the symposium.
