What are you doing in the lab? Studying treatment free remission (TFR) in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) by investigating the role of inflammatory signaling and expression profiles of stem and stromal cells in the bone marrow microenvironment (BMME) of patients with a deep molecular response attempting to discontinue tyrosine kinase inhibitor treatment. Our intent is to add to predictive models of TFR by uncovering the role of inflammatory networks in the CML BMME, their effect on stem cell quiescence and stromal reprogramming, and how we can improve outcomes by suppressing or enhancing specific cytokine signals.
Future Goals: Publish some papers, do some science, get a job in industry or academia and build a team that can make all kinds of great discoveries together, encourage the next generation of scientists, and support my family.
Interests/Hobbies: I have two daughters. They are my hobbies currently. But I used to like sleeping, eating out, tennis, the cello, watching movies, reading books, working out, hiking, being active in my religious community, and just being a standup guy. Kids change you, they really do.

What are you doing in the lab? Identifying alterations in hematopoietic regulation that can predict the risk of therapy related myeloid neoplasm (TMN) in lymphoma patients receiving autologous transplantation. We aim to study sequential evolution of these somatic alterations in serial samples of these patients collected over the years following transplantation to better understand the mechanisms of TMN development.
Future Goals:
Research Scientist
Interests/Hobbies:
Cooking, Baking and Reading books

What are you doing in the lab?
My research is focused on developing novel therapeutic agents for the treatment
of drug resistant AML and CML for better patient care. We validate our findings in the transgenic animal models and PDXs
(Patient-derived xenograft models) for potent drug molecules along or in combination for enhanced therapeutic efficacy.
Future Goals:
Developing therapeutic molecules for better care of AML and CML patients
Interests/Hobbies:
Reading papers and books
