Current Research
The lab examines how to treat and prevent common mental health problems, such as anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and depression. We are particularly interested in what makes intervention work and believe that we could develop more efficient psychological interventions if we better understood the nature of mental illness.
We also have a specialty research line in sexual health, compulsive sexual behavior, and sexual/gender minority mental health disparities.

Current and future research aims include:
- Original lab-based psychotherapy clinical trials for various mental illness presentations
- Meta-analyses of existing interventions
- Large database secondary analyses to uncover overlooked findings
