I am a medical graduate and have completed my MS in cell and developmental biology. My interest in molecular biology led me to join Dr. Gorbatyuk’s lab where I am working with diabetic retinopathy (DR) models and studying unfolded protein response (UPR). My current project is to analyze downstream target Tribbles psuedokinase (TRIB3) . My Ph.D. thesis project focuses on the evaluation of role of TRIB3 protein in pathology and progression of DR.
