TL1 Scholars have been hard at work over the past few months. Several have submitted/are submitting grants, and manuscripts and preparing for talks. Below are highlights reported from our TL1 Scholars.

Maggie Jones-Carr, MD, UAB
- Appointed to the KUHR-TN Career Development Committee of the Trainee Steering Committee
- Elected as Vice Chair to the American College of Surgeons Resident and Associate Society (RAS-ACS) Advocacy and Issues Workgroup
- Received a travel grant to attend the Leadership and Advocacy Summit of the American College of Surgeons, to be held in April in Washington, D.C.
