Now accepting applications for CF-SURP!

The CF SUmmer Research Program (CF-SURP) is an 8-week program funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to introduce outstanding undergraduates from diverse, underrepresented minority, and disadvantaged backgrounds to basic and translational research that is impactful to CF. Up to 8 students will be accepted into this CF-focused, paid summer program, running from June 4 to July 28, 2024, to work with faculty affiliated with the UAB Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis Research Center. CF SURP students will be given the opportunity to learn a wide range of research skills, with the potential option of a clinical or clinical research shadowing experience for up to 5 days. Graduate student Emily Hughes selected for CCTS TL1 Predoctoral Fellowship

Congratulations to Emily Hughes, 4th year PhD student in the lab, for being selected for a prestigious Fellowship position on the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) Predoctoral Clinical/Translational Research Program! This immersive program provides protected time for Trainees to develop projects focused on reducing health disparities and diseases that disproportionately affect the Deep South.
