KDDM Students Received Several Awards at the ACM Mid-Southeast Conference 2013

It was a moment of pride and honor for KDDM students at the recent ACM Mid-Southeast Conference. The conference was held on November 15, 2013 at Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Ligaj Pradhan, a Ph.d. student from the KDDM lab received the first place in the “Doctoral Degree Presentations” session for hispresentation on “Accurate 3D Body Construction from 2D-Photograph for Body Fat Prediction”. Another team of two Masters students, Rajan Kumar Kharel and Niju Shrestha received the third place in the “Master’s Degree Presentations” session for their presentation on “Standardizing US House Client Names Using Efficient Clustering Techniques”. They were rewarded with certificates and prize money.
