Nanostructured Biomaterials and Tissue Regeneration

Biomimetic Nanotechnology & Self-Assembly & Bottom-Up Tissue Regeneration We intend to solve the biological and human health related issues by combination of nanotechnology and basic principles of nature. Natural tissues achieve supramolecular construction with complex hierarchical order through self-assembly. Amphiphilicity is an important driving force for self-assembly and widely found in natural biological systems such as cell membranes. Therefore, as a bottom-up approach, our research strategy is to develop the amphiphilic nanostructured materials capable of self-assembling into nanofibers or nano matrix in a precisely controlled manner and apply these materials to a variety of applications to achieve our research goals.
