Welcome to the Hyndman Lab
Thanks for visiting the Hyndman Lab website! We are a team of kidney scientists of diverse backgrounds that love all things science. Currently the lab is interested in determining the functional significance of the post-translational modification of lysine acetylation. Much like serine, threonine, or tyrosine phosphorylation, lysine acetylation is a dynamic modification that may be critically important for regulation protein functions in our cells. Our focus is on understanding the physiological consequences of lysine acetylation in the kidney and how regulation of these processes may become dysfunctional in kidney disease.
