About Testing

GuideSafe™ Testing is a state-wide consortium led by the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), in partnership with the University of South Alabama, working together to establish and support a broad, robust testing platform in support of higher education institutions in Alabama. GuideSafe™ is coordinated through the ADPH and engages colleges and universities, regional public health districts and county offices. It includes expanded laboratory testing units at UAB which yield high throughput and high accuracy.
