Invited Speakers and Travel Support Awardees:

Travel support and two (2) night lodging is available for a limited number of participants. Please register early to reserve your spot. We will notify you before July 15^th if you were awarded travel and lodging support. Once you are accepted to the meeting you will receive a notification of how UAB deals with travel arrangements and will be prompted to book your travel through UAB. Do not make your own travel reservations, as those will not be reimbursed. We already have hotel rooms booked at the Residence Inn, so please do not book any rooms.

By Air: Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is only 6 miles (15 min by car) from the UAB campus. Taxi to the campus costs about $20-$25 (incl. airort fee) depending on the traffic (see estimated fare). Uber and Lyft are also available.

If you rent a car, there are a couple of routes, via freeway I-20/59 or through local streets. During rush hours, I-20/59 heavily jammed. See map for the routes and estimated travel time.
