Our research program is translational and seeks to examine the impact of disparities in sleep and circadian rhythms on a variety of health outcomes, as well as developing and testing interventions to reduce these disparities.

The Disparities in Sleep and Circadian Rhythms (DISC) research lab is translational and seeks to examine the impact of disparities in sleep and circadian rhythms on a variety of health outcomes, as well as developing and testing interventions to reduce these disparities. Our lab coordinates and works closely with the UAB Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) Clinic and Training Program, accredited by the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine (SBSM) and provides clinical training in BSM. This clinic also provides a variety of treatments for sleep disorders using BSM.

We function as a collaborative and fun environment with an ultimate goal of training well-rounded scientists and clinicians. The lab includes undergraduate neuroscience majors and graduate students and welcomes trainees from other backgrounds and disciplines.
