Caring for a loved one with memory problems can present a variety of challenges, emotionally and physically. If you find yourself in this position, consider joining the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s CURB IT online caregiver study. What does participating in this study involve?

In this research study sponsored by the National Institute on Aging and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, participants will complete the following:

    • Individual coaching sessions
    • Surveys & short questionnaires

All study activities will be completed online with no travel requirements, and you will receive compensation for your participation. If you are interested in participating, please complete the screening form or contact us to check your eligibility or request more information.

What types of caregiving strategies will I learn in this study?

Unlike other similar studies, CURB IT takes a more personal approach. Your coach will work with you to develop behavioral management strategies that work for both you and your loved one. The ultimate goal is that you will learn to develop useful skills for reducing or managing care refusals when caring for a loved one with memory problems.
