ATTIS 2019 served as a pre-conference symposium of the Midsouth Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Society symposium. The symposium focused on bioinformatics applications, particularly on how scientific findings were enabled with bioinformatics and functional genomics techniques including: genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics, and various applications of next-generation sequencing.
Several ideas were shared related to current and emerging topics related to translational bioinformatics, biocomputing, and precision medicine applications, with the symposium broken down into two sessions.
The keynote speaker for ATTIS 2019 was Devin Absher Ph.D., of the Hudson Alpha Institute.
The speakers for the first session of ATTIS 2019, moderated by Christopher Fucile, were Oluwagbemiga Ojo, Mingyong Liu, Peng Xu, Ph.D., and Ava Wilson, MS.
Speakers for the second session included Jake Chen, Ph.D., Yu Chen, Ann Lorraine, Ph.D., and Alex Dussaq, PhD.
