The Alabama Department of Public Health, the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, and the UAB School of Public Health have partnered to host a tabletop exercise (TTX) focused on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and would like you to participate. This particular exercise will center on an HPAI outbreak, encouraging participants to explore and evaluate their response capabilities and strategies to a realistic and evolving public health event. Participants will work through a series of hypothetical but plausible scenarios to better understand their roles, examine interagency coordination, and identify both strengths and areas for improvement.
This HPAI tabletop exercise will strengthen coordination among key stakeholders in response plans, roles, and communication strategies during a hypothetical scenario. It aims to identify strengths and gaps to support a more effective and unified response.
To support broad participation, travel expenses for a limited number of non-governmental employees may be covered, depending on the distance traveled to attend the exercise. Reimbursement eligibility and amounts will be determined based on travel distance and available funding. If you are a non-governmental participant and wish to be considered for travel reimbursement, please indicate this during registration and we will reach out to you for additional details.
